Embracing the "New Normal" Post Covid
We are excited to announce that our office will be reopening on May 11th. Our doctors will be seeing patients via Telemedicine and in-office. The current Texas Dental Board guidelines mandate that we follow local authorities/recommendations. We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued to ensure our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency's recommendations.
We are eager to see our office return to normal function and excited to treat our community again. Please look below to see the additional measures we are taking to help mitigate the risk of COVID for both our patients and team members.
These additional measures are recommended by ADA, TDA, Texas Board and the CDC. While necessary, the new PPE requirements have increased the cost of staying open and seeing patients. As recommended by the American Dental Association, we have implemented the Advanced Aerosol and Respiratory Protection Fee for all patients. A PPE charge of $20 will be added to all future dental appointments. Rest assured, the safety of our team members and patients is of utmost importance.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the new protocols we are implementing to keep you and our team safe.
Thank you for being a part of the Belterra Family. We value your trust and loyalty, and look forward to welcoming you back!
In addition to the new PPE guidlines, our office has always maintained strict disinfection and sterilization policies as dictated by Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Disinfect all surfaces of the dental operatory with medical grade disinfectants before and after every patient.
Sterilize all dental instruments with medical grade autoclave.
Clean and test autoclave on a weekly basis
Flush water lines in each dental operatory with medical grade disinfectant
All team members utilize proper hand hygiene and follow “Universal Precautions” based on guidelines set by CDC, OSHA and ADA
Maintain proper infection control standards set by OSHA and CDC
Extra Precautions to Keep You Safe
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. While we adjust these processes, this may mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your visit with us. Only three people will be allowed in the waiting area at one time
Patient will be screened over the phone and when they arrive at the office. Temperatures will be taken on all patients and our staff
Personal Protective Gear
You will notice our staff wearing additional protective equipment like N95 masks, protective face sheilds, gowns to keep you safe
Patients are required to come to their appointements alone. A child may be accompanied by a single guardian.
ADA Code D1999
We are committed to follow guidelines recommended by the CDC, ADA and TDA to keep our patients safe. However necessary, these measures substantially increase the cost of doing business. A PPE charge of $20 will be added to each patient appointment as advised by the ADA
All patients will be required to use hand sanitizer, wear a face covering and do a 20 second hydrogen peroxide rinse before being seen by the Dentist.
Our office will be investing in Check-in/out sheilds, filteration systems, and using dental devices such as isolites and rubber dams when indicated to minimize aerosols.
The Health & Safety of our Patients, Community & Team is our Highest Priority! Thank you for choosing us as your Dental Provider.
As recommended by the ADA, all our patients are required to answer a screening questionnaire before being seen. Please do not hesitate to call our office and speak with our team members should you have more questions about the new protocols to keep you and your family safe and healthy.
